Qualifying Medical Conditions
Under the New York State medical marijuana law, the following Medical conditions qualify for Medical Cannabis
- Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease)
- Cancer
- Epilepsy
- Chronic Pain
- Substance use Disorder
- HIV Infection or AIDS
- Huntington's Disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) (Crohn's disease / Ulcerative Colitis)
- Spinal Cord Injuries with Intractable Spasticity
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Opioid alternative for pain that degrades health and functional capability
- Neuropathies
- Parkinson's Disease
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
You must also have one of these associated or complicating conditions:
- Cachexia or wasting syndrome
- Severe or chronic pain
- Severe nausea
- Seizures
- Severe or persistent muscle spasms
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Opioid use disorder
